Morocco’s Islamic Radio Station Tops National Ratings, Outperforming Secular Competitors

According to the latest data released by the Interprofessional Center for Radio Audience Measurement "Cirad", Radio Mohammed VI of the Holy Quran is the most listened to station in the second quarter, ahead of Med radio and Hit radio.
During this period, 14.951 million Moroccans aged 11 and over listened to the radio every day, all stations combined, i.e. a national audience rate of 52.93%, the report states, specifying that Moroccan listeners listen to radio programs for an average of 2 hours and 53 minutes per day.
In detail, Radio Mohammed VI of the Holy Quran confirms its supremacy with 14.92% of the audience share. A rate up 1.8 points compared to the previous quarter. It thus maintains the gap with Med radio, still second with 12.94% of cumulative audience (+0.44 points). Hit Radio completes the podium with a rate of 9.51%.
In Morocco, the audience is made up of young people aged 11 and over, and the best coverage rates for this population were recorded in Rabat (63.56%), Marrakech (61.21%) and Agadir (56.42%). Casablanca (56.09%) ranks fourth. In Oujda, the 11+ coverage rate has increased from 47.99% to 54.04% in one year, the report notes.
