Motorcyclist Dies After Fleeing Police in Tangier, Morocco

A judicial investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office has been opened by the police services of Tangier, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the accidental death of a 25-year-old man.
That day, two motorcyclists, under the influence of drugs, were driving at high speed along the Tangier coast, Malabata, endangering public safety. Intercepted by a police patrol, one of the two young men abandoned his motorcycle, throwing himself into the water.
Short of breath and quickly exhausted, the young man was brought back to shore thanks to the intervention of the auxiliary forces elements. Taken away in critical condition, he died a few hours later at the hospital.
Pending the conclusions of the judicial investigation, the General Directorate of National Security took care to deny the rumors, circulated on social networks, which claim that the young man died in a police station.
