Domestic Violence in Tangier: Woman Beaten, Abandoned Near Highway
A domestic dispute ended in police custody, for violence and failure to assist a person in danger. On Monday evening, a man beat his wife, before abandoning her near the sewage outfall in Tangier.
A marital dispute, the reasons for which are unknown, was the origin of the physical assault on the young woman. Unconscious and seriously injured, she was found near the sewage network adjoining the motorway towards Rabat.
Urgently admitted to the city hospital to receive the necessary care, the woman got away with a few bruises without gravity, reports the site Tanjanews.
An investigation has been opened by the police services under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the assault.
