Disabled Woman Drowns in Moroccan Lake Near Azilal, Search Continues

A young disabled woman disappeared on Sunday afternoon in the waters of a lake near Azilal. The victim was visiting her sister, who lives in a small village near Bine El Ouidane.
The 35-year-old victim was alone when she approached the lake water to cool off, says Akhbarona, specifying that she slipped before falling into the water.
The rescuers, mobilized for several hours alongside the elements of the royal gendarmerie, combed the Bine El Ouidane lake in an attempt to recover the body of the young woman. However, she remained untraceable.
An investigation has been opened by the gendarmes, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
