Mother Kills Three Children Amid Divorce Dispute in Casablanca Tragedy

The three young children, coldly murdered by their own mother, died on Thursday due to marital conflicts between their two parents. They were drugged by their mother who then slit the veins of their wrists with a blunt object.
We now know a little more about the odious crime that shook the city of Casablanca on Thursday. After a few days of medical surveillance, the alleged perpetrator, a young housewife, emerged from the deep coma in which she was plunged after her suicide attempt.
According to the daily Assabah, the alleged culprit was constantly in conflict with her husband. The multiple mediations of their respective relatives did not prevent the divorce. Without breaking the ties, the husband had continued to provide for the family who lived in a luxurious apartment in the locality.
It all started with the last violent argument the couple had, which sadly ended. Unable to bear it anymore, she decided to kill herself and kill her three sons.
Unfortunately, the three victims, drugged by their mother who then slit the veins of their wrists, died in their deep sleep. The mother’s multiple attempts to kill herself were in vain. She was found unconscious, a few hours later next to her 9, 7 and 3 year old children, last Thursday in her apartment in the Hay El Hassani district. She had cut her wrists and tried to disembowel herself with a sharp tool, after swallowing barbiturates and leaving a farewell message.
Rushed to the Hay El Hassani hospital, she only survived after being transferred to the Ibn Rochd hospital where she was admitted to intensive care. Now out of the coma, she has been taken into custody for the needs of the investigation. As for her husband, he too underwent a long interrogation.
