Algerian Man Hospitalized After Suicide Attempt in Tangier

An Algerian national attempted to end his life last Thursday in his apartment in Tangier, by slitting the veins of his neck with a razor blade.
According to the website Alyaoum24, the 35-year-old Algerian citizen, who has lived in the city of Boughaz for several years, inflicted deep wounds, requiring his transfer to the emergency room of the hospital.
It is still unknown whether the prognosis of the victim, whose identity has not been revealed, is committed, reports the site, which points out that the motives behind the suicidal act remain mysterious.
A judicial investigation has been opened by the Tangier police prefecture under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office, pending the determination of the contours of this drama.
