Three-Month-Old Baby Survives COVID-19 in Morocco, Mother Shares Emotional Journey

Another miracle survivor of covid-19. It is the young Sama, an infant whose mother has given testimony on the anguish, worry, hope, in one word the feelings she went through during the treatment of her daughter who is only three months old.
Little Sama is doing very well, reassures her mother, on the BBC television channel. In the video, we could see the young mother, smiling, rocking her child who was sleeping soundly. But before reaching this state of relaxation and peace, Sama’s mother went through many feelings.
She explains that "for the first three days, while her daughter was on oxygen, she was terrified and couldn’t sleep." Especially when she knows that the virus has killed many people in Morocco. She recounts going through hard trials, with her daughter in poor condition at the hospital in Fez. She feared losing Sama forever, she remembers.
But against all odds, and with the help of the doctors who took good care of the little girl’s condition, she was able to win her battle against covid-19 "by miracle". According to the medical sources contacted by BBC, "after her admission to the university hospital in Fez in critical condition due to severe respiratory distress caused by the virus," little Sama was placed on artificial respiration in the intensive care unit. It was only two months later, and after a medical check-up, that she was able to recover, while her vital prognosis was engaged.
Today, Sama and her mother have started a new life, far from the coronavirus and those two months spent between anguish and hope at the Fez hospital.
