Morocco’s World Cup Preparations Hit by Injury Woes as Coach Regragui Faces Squad Reshuffle

Two months before the World Cup, the list of injured players among the Atlas Lions is worrying. A difficult situation to manage for coach Walid Regragui, who thought he would be able to assess the level of the chosen players with the two friendly matches against Chile and Paraguay.
In addition to Tarik Tissoudali and Adam Masina who will not be able to participate in the World Cup due to serious injuries, Walid Regragui will have to do without several players for the next two friendly matches against Chile and Paraguay.
It is about Yassine Bounou, injured last weekend during a match between FC Seville and Villareal. He was substituted before the end of the first half. There is also the right-back Noussair Mazraoui, injured during the Bayern match against Augsburg. To replace him, the coach has called up the right-back of Portimonense SC, Fahd Moufi.
And as if the number of injured players was not enough, the defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabet was also injured during the Fiorentina match against Hellas Verone. Other injured players will further complicate matters for the Atlas Lions. The national coach hopes to recover at least Noussair Mazraoui, Yassine Bounou and Sofyan Amrabet.
