Morocco’s World Cup Hopes Dented as Tarik Tissoudali Suffers Serious Knee Injury

Moroccan international Tarik Tissoudali could miss the World Cup he was hoping to participate in with Morocco. He is currently suffering from a serious injury sustained on Saturday, during the match between La Gantoise and Sint-Truidense (STVV).
After Nayef Aguerd, who was injured and operated on, it is Tarik Tissoudali’s turn to be injured. The seriousness of his injury could deprive him of his participation in the World Cup. According to Belgian media, the Atlas Lion would have been hit at the level of the cruciate ligament and had to leave the pitch in the 31st minute of play.
At the end of the match, which ended in a draw (1-1), coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck spoke about Tissoudali’s injury, describing it as "serious". It is after the MRI that the player will undergo that the doctors will be able to determine the nature of his injury and the duration of his unavailability.
