Morocco World Cup Celebration Turns Chaotic in Belgium; Multiple Arrests Made

The Belgian police arrested several Moroccan supporters who were celebrating the historic and exceptional qualification of the Atlas Lions in the quarter-finals against Spain. They are accused of having disturbed public order.
Despite the implementation of the same police device on the occasion of the Morocco-Belgium match and the human chain of supporters to prevent the confrontation between a few troublemakers and the police, some Moroccan supporters disturbed public order. Gatherings quickly formed in the Lemonnier, Dansaert, Etangs Noirs in Molenbeek and Pavillon in Schaerbeek neighborhoods, the police said.
Projectile throwing near the Midi station, tear gas, a container on fire on Boulevard Poincaré... The police were forced to intervene in the center of Brussels, reports RTBF. It says it has arrested several people, without providing details on the number. Same observation in Antwerp. Projectiles were notably thrown towards the Kiel police station and agents. The police proceeded to arrest about twenty people.
