Morocco’s Walid El Karti Eyed for World Cup Playoff Squad Against DR Congo

Vahid Halilhodzic is closely following the Moroccan international Walid El Karti, the midfielder of Pyramids FC. The player could be called up for the playoffs, the last qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Morocco faces the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a decisive double confrontation for qualification for the next World Cup to be held in Qatar. According to the Egyptian press, Walid El Karti has a good chance of being on the list of players who will allow Morocco to have its ticket for this international competition.
A letter from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) would already have been received, confirming the presence of the 27-year-old Moroccan player. Walid El Karti is a talented player who is very popular in the Egyptian championship. For the current season, he has already scored 4 goals. With Morocco, he has only one goal on his record. He had scored it in September 2019, during the friendly match against Niger at the Marrakech stadium.
The list of called-up players will be known on March 17. The first leg of this double confrontation is scheduled for March 25 at 4 p.m. at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa. As for the return leg, it will be held on March 29 at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca at 8:30 p.m.
