Saudi Giants Al Ittihad Target Wydad’s El Karti in $3.5M Midfield Pursuit

The Saudi club, Al Ittihad Jeddah, would be willing to put $3.5 million on the table to recruit the midfielder of Wydad Casablanca, Walid El Karti, into its squad.
Pending the next winter transfer window, Al Ittihad Jeddah is rebuilding its squad. In search of a midfielder, this Saudi club wants to invest to secure the services of the Wydad Casablanca midfielder. To this end, it would be willing to spend $3.5 million.
According to Le360, the leaders of the Yellow and Black have made this decision, after being turned down by Galatasaray for Younès Belhanda.
The same source also states that this Saudi club already has two Moroccans, Manuel Da Costa and Karim El Ahmadi, in its ranks.
On the side of the club’s management, the same media reports that the President of Wydad, Saïd Naciri, would not be interested in this offer to release his international player, during the next transfer window.
Indeed, his club is engaged in several competitions this season (Botola, Champions League and Mohammed VI Cup) and wants to keep the entire squad.
