Morocco Squad Assembles at Mohammed VI Complex Ahead of Crucial World Cup Qualifiers

The players summoned by Vahid Halilhodzic to participate in the double confrontation between Morocco and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have arrived at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
The Atlas Lions will have a small training session before flying to Kinshasa where they will face the Leopards on Friday at 4 pm at the Martyrs of Kinshasa stadium. The return match will be held three days later in Morocco. These two matches counting for the World Cup 2022 playoffs are of paramount importance for the Moroccan players who do not want to stop at the gates of a World Cup qualification.
In a statement released on Monday, March 21, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced that no positive Covid-19 case had been detected within the national team and its staff. The Atlas Lions will face the Leopards next Friday at the Martyrs stadium (4pm), before hosting them four days later at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca.
In case of qualification, Morocco will take part in its sixth World Cup after the 1970, 1986, 1994, 1998 and 2018 editions.
