Morocco Faces DR Congo in Crucial World Cup Qualifier Match
Morocco faces the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Martyrs’ Stadium this Friday, March 25 at 4:00 PM as part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Moroccans cannot afford to make any mistakes.
First leg in Kinshasa. Pumped up, the Atlas Lions will try to take an option against Hector Cuper’s Leopards before the return leg (Tuesday) in Casablanca.
The teammates of Achraf Hakimi, who dream of a second consecutive World Cup qualification, the sixth in Moroccan football history, finished first in Group I ahead of Guinea-Bissau, Guinea and Sudan.
On the other side, the Congolese are looking for their second World Cup qualification for their nation since 1974 (Zaire at the time).
This afternoon, Vahid Halilhodzic’s protégés conducted their field reconnaissance. Some 25,000 spectators will attend the match, including 2,100 Moroccan supporters. The DR Congo / Morocco match will be broadcast live on the Arriyadia, Al Oula and L’Équipe LIVE channels this Friday, March 25 at 4:00 PM.
