Morocco Unveils New Uniforms and Vehicles for Tourist Police in Major Cities
Starting Thursday, August 17, the elements of the tourist police will wear a new uniform and a new visual identity for their service vehicles.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) is working to improve the visibility and identification of the tourist police. It has adopted a new uniform for agents working in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca and Fez, and a new visual identity for their service vehicles. These are summer and winter adapted uniforms, with reflective vests and shoulder patches bearing the visual identity of the tourist police.
In a press release, the DGSN specifies that this new visual identity and this new service uniform share a number of characteristics with the other brigades under its direction, while adopting a distinct and specific graphic charter for the tourist police to facilitate its daily intervention.
The implementation of this change, which comes in the middle of the summer season, testifies to the DGSN’s commitment to strengthening the effectiveness of the tourist police units to guarantee the safety of tourists.
