Morocco Unveils Squad for 2024 Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan

Hicham Dguig, coach of the national futsal team, has unveiled his list for the 2nd edition of the World Cup to be held from September 14 to October 6, 2024 in Uzbekistan.
Abdekrim Anbia, Mohammed Cheridou, Youssef Bensellam, Anas Dahani, Anas El Ayyane, Othmane El Idrissi, Soufiane Bourite, Ismail Amazal, Soufiane Charraoui, Othmane Boumezou, Soufiane El Mesrar, Khalid Bouzid, Idriss Raiss El Fenni, Mohammed Kamal. These are the 14 Moroccan players who will participate in the second edition of the Futsal World Cup. Placed in group E, the Atlas Lions will face Tajikistan on September 16, Panama on September 19 and Portugal, the reigning world champion, on September 22. Eliminated by Brazil (0-1) in the quarter-finals of the last edition in 2021 in Lithuania, Hicham Dguig’s men are aiming to go far in the competition.
The next Futsal World Cup will be held from September 14 to October 6, 2024 in three Uzbek cities: the capital Tashkent, Bukhara and Andijan. It will see the participation of 24 national teams divided by the draw into six groups. In addition to Morocco, triple African champion, Angola and Libya will also represent the continent in this competition.
