Morocco Futsal Team Rewarded with Hefty Bonuses After World Cup Performance

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) offers generous bonuses to the coach of the Moroccan Olympic team, Hicham Dguig, and the Atlas Lions after their participation in the Futsal World Cup held from September 14, 2024 to October 6, 2024 in Uzbekistan.
Hicham Dguig will receive a bonus of 1 million dirhams instead of a bonus of 600,000 dirhams previously set by the FRMF. The latter will offer a sum of 500,000 dirhams to the players of the Moroccan team, in order to encourage them to continue to obtain positive results in the next Arab and continental competitions.

The Moroccan futsal team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, losing to Brazil (1-3), at the Bukhara Universal Sports Complex. It had reached the same stage of the competition in the previous edition. Hicham Dguig’s men qualified for the quarter-finals after beating Iran in the round of 16.
Soufiane El Mesrar and his teammates won two victories in the group stage against Panama and Tajikistan, but suffered a defeat against Portugal, before falling to Brazil 3-1 in the quarter-finals.
