Morocco Unveils Pay Scale for Mandatory Military Service Conscripts

Scheduled for the end of this year in Morocco, military service was once again discussed yesterday in the Council of Government, where several modalities were specified.
Thus, according to Akhbar Al Yaoum, allowances will be paid according to the rank of the conscript. 1,050 net dirhams per month will be paid to the conscript, while officers will receive a monthly allowance of 2,100 dirhams, in addition to 300 dirhams for those who will go to the south of the country.
In addition to these allowances, the new recruits will of course be housed and washed, while having free medical coverage and a pension in case of disability or death during their service.
About 10,000 young people will be called up from next September for a cost of about 500 million dirhams released as part of the 2019 finance law.
