Morocco Unveils COVID-19 Safety Guide for Mosque Reopenings

The Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs is engaged in the government’s strategy to fight against COVID-19, by making available to the public a manual of the main barrier gestures to be respected to protect against the coronavirus.
The objective of this guide, according to the ministry’s press release, is to initiate civil servants in the new preventive and essential measures during the post-confinement phase, in order to allow citizens access to the public services offered by the administration.
In accordance with the royal directives on the fight against the coronavirus, the handbook is based on the recommendations announced by the Minister of Economy and Finance in circular number 1/2020 of March 16, 2020, as part of the provisions to be taken within public administrations and institutions.
The guide from the Ministry of Habous is also inspired by the new preventive measures that will be in force as soon as the state of health emergency is lifted in the country.
