Morocco’s Islamic Scholars Urge Continued Home Prayer as Mosques Remain Closed

Continue to pray at home. This is the call of the Councils of Ulemas to Muslim believers, thus calling for caution regarding the reopening of mosques.
The local councils of ulemas have invited the faithful to continue to pray at home, until the health situation improves further to allow the reopening of places of worship under more secure conditions.
It is true that "Moroccans aspire to regain a normal life after the crisis and the faithful are impatient to return to the mosques," add the ulemas who call on the faithful to be patient and to pray to God so that the Covid-19 crisis is conjugated in the past.
According to the daily Assabah, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs had taken all preventive measures at the beginning of the pandemic. The minister, Ahmed Toufik, subsequently adopted the practical guide for the management of the post-confinement period. In this sense, the working hours in the administration have been rearranged to avoid overcrowding in the staff transport buses. Similarly, strict instructions have been given to reception officials for strict compliance with physical distancing and taking the temperature of civil servants.
