Morocco’s U17 Team Targets Arab Cup Final in Algeria

The Moroccan under-17 national football team is participating in the 2022 Arab Cup which is being held from August 23 to September 08 in Oran, Algeria. According to the statements of Said Chiba, coach of the Lion Cubs, the objective remains the final.
"This competition is very important for these young players and comes at the right time. It will be beneficial for all the selections and we will first aim to get through the group stage and then reach the final," said the coach of the Moroccan national team during the first press conference held in Oran.
The Arab U17 Cup is an opportunity offered to young people to reveal their talents. According to the coach, "the ultimate goal remains the training of a new generation of players capable of strengthening, in the future, the ranks of the A national team."
Following the draw, Morocco found itself in group C, alongside Iraq, Mauritania and the Comoros. The Moroccan players will face Iraq this Wednesday, August 24, Mauritania on Saturday, August 27, and the Comoros on Tuesday, August 30 for the group stage matches.
