The inauguration by the sovereign of the Mohammed VI Tower, the tallest in Morocco, and the Grand Theater of Rabat is taking shape. This inauguration will significantly change the appearance of the capital of the kingdom.

King Mohammed VI is expected to inaugurate at the end of October the eponymous Tower, and the Grand Theater of Rabat, reports Maghreb-Intelligence. Launched in 2018, the construction work on the Mohammed VI Tower, the tallest in Morocco at 250 meters and 55 floors, is almost complete. A project financed to the tune of $350 million by its promoter, the finance tycoon Othmane Benjelloun. Built by TGCC, the Moroccan leader in public works and construction, SIXCO, a subsidiary of the giant China Railway Construction Corporation International (CRCCI) and the Belgian group BESIX, which built the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, this gigantic monument will house high-end apartments, offices, hotels, and a shopping center.

As for the Grand Theater of Rabat, it is erected 700 meters from the Mohammed VI Tower. With a total cost of around $200 million, the majestic and futuristic building covers 25,400 m². The building, which is one of the last works of the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators.
