Morocco’s Tourism Office Aims to Elevate Rabat as Cultural Destination

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) is continuing its tour to relaunch tourism. At the Rabat stage, it expressed its desire to enhance and promote the new potential of the capital and its entire region.
During the exchanges, it was emphasized that this region is composed only of cultural destinations par excellence. There is Rabat, the city of light endowed with museums, prestigious monuments, its craft riches and its high quality and diverse local products: gardens, parks, lakes, zoos, forests, beaches. There is also Salé and the authentic medinas inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
For the office, the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region is a major asset in the relaunch of the sector. It is therefore important to highlight its various assets, build an identity, a press release from the institution points out. Among other strategies, the ONMT plans to contribute to the resumption of existing flights, the establishment of flights from the French province to Rabat, in partnership with Moroccan and French airlines.
The office also proposes a listing on the target markets through the main prescribers of the markets. The aim is to quickly reposition Rabat on the radar of major tour operators.
