Morocco Tops French Travel Destinations as Prices Drop 8%

Morocco is leading the list of the most visited foreign destinations departing from France last month.
Attracted by prices down 8% compared to 2023, the French have overwhelmingly chosen Morocco for their spring getaways. This destination climbs two places in the ranking, overtaking Spain, still in second position despite a slight drop in prices. Tunisia and Italy complete the podium.
While Portugal is experiencing a resurgence of interest, it ranks fifth despite a price increase. Greece and the United States are losing places, while Senegal and Turkey are maintaining their position.
The MisterFly study, based on 126,382 economy class airline tickets for April 2024, reveals the diversity of the French choices. Attractive prices and a wide range of destinations explain this return to international tourism, it is indicated.
This trend confirms the success of Morocco, which welcomed a record number of 1.3 million tourists last April, up 17% compared to the same month of the previous year.
