Airfares to Morocco Drop 10% as Global Flight Prices Decline

Airfares between France and Morocco have dropped significantly in May. This is revealed by the new MisterFly barometer for L’Echo touristique.
The end of price hikes! According to the new MisterFly barometer for L’Echo touristique, air fares fell by 2.3% on long-haul flights in May 2024 and by 3% on medium-haul flights. In detail, prices of tickets to Morocco fell by 10% (-37 euros per ticket) and to Spain by 8% (-23 euros) in May 2024 compared to May 2023, reports Air Journal. Ticket prices booked to Canada decreased by 14% (-106 euros per ticket), by 15% to Indonesia (-287 euros), by 19% to Japan (-280 euros), by 16% to Brazil (-175 euros). "This is the first time we’ve seen so many foreign destinations with falling prices since 2019," notes Frédéric Pilloud, digital director of the MisterFly B2B airline ticket sales platform, even mentioning a "return of good deals on quite a few destinations." On the other hand, ticket prices to Tunisia increased by 6%, to Portugal by 5% and to the United Arab Emirates by 8%.
Morocco, Spain and Tunisia are at the top of the foreign destinations. Thailand and Côte d’Ivoire each gained three ranks, it is specified.
To compile its ranking, the airline ticketing specialist MisterFly from the Digitrips group analyzed 117,493 economy class tickets booked in May 2024.
