Airfare Prices Plummet: France to Morocco Flights See 23% Drop in 2024

Good news for the French who love distant destinations. The average price of round-trip airline tickets to Marrakech is €243 in 2024, a 23% drop compared to 2023, according to the search engine Liligo. Montreal is accessible for a round trip at €625 in 2024, a 27% drop compared to last year, Fort de France at €823 or Point-à-Pitre at €847, a 21% and 24% drop respectively compared to 2023, Rome at €165 (-20%) or Barcelona at €149 (-13%), for a round trip per person. Conversely, the average price of airline tickets to French destinations has increased this summer. It takes €308 for a round trip to Bordeaux, €258 for Nantes and €199 for Lyon.

"The drops on certain destinations are really impressive and offer the possibility for the French who have not yet booked to make good deals for their holidays. A 9% drop on average for the summer of 2024 compared to 2023 is a significant price reduction given the current economic context of households. Paradoxically, French destinations have seen their prices increase by plane," comments Guillaume Rostand, spokesperson for Liligo. According to him, these price increases may be due to the Paris Olympics, "nevertheless, for the same destinations, the train remains very accessible during this period".
