Morocco Tops French Easter Travel Destinations as Bookings Surge

Many French people will visit Morocco during this year’s Easter holidays. Bookings are already exploding in travel agencies.
"The calendar and the weather have been very conducive to encouraging the desire to travel among the French, despite the economic circumstances, the tourism sector is following an upward trend," assure most French travel agencies (80%) surveyed by La Quotidienne.
For these Easter holidays, the French are turning to destinations like Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt or the United States, but also to European capitals like Rome, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Copenhagen or Istanbul.
In the receptive sector, 90% of bookings are made by foreign travelers compared to 10% for nationals. The countries most concerned are the United Kingdom, the United States, the Benelux, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
