Morocco Emerges as Top Summer Destination for French Travelers Post-Pandemic

After the end of Covid-19 restrictions, but also inflation, the French are eager to travel this summer. Morocco is one of their preferred destinations.
"Greece, Spain, Italy, Tunisia and Morocco" will be among the destinations this summer, estimates Jean-Pierre Mas, president of travel companies, to La Dépêche du Midi. The French attraction to these destinations is explained by their climate and advantageous prices. According to IEFT, the tourism management school, 70% of the French say they want to go abroad, compared to 43% during the summer of 2022.
French travelers have already booked their tickets. They have "anticipated" their summer vacation by booking as early as possible, says Jean-Pierre Mas. Vacationers have booked "long stays" in order to be able to enjoy them, he adds, noting that "there is no fundamental change in this regard." The French have budgeted their summer vacation: around 2339 euros per person.
