Morocco’s Top General Visits Mauritania for Key Military Talks

On the instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Army Corps General and Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, began an official 3-day visit to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on Monday.
At the head of a large delegation, General Abdelfattah Louaraq co-chaired, on the same day in Nouakchott, with his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Bamba Meguett, the 2nd meeting of the joint military commission.
Several senior officers from the Moroccan general staff as well as the chiefs of the Mauritanian navy and army participated in this meeting, a local media outlet points out.
The two senior officers reviewed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation relations, at the security and military levels, and the future prospects for development.
