Algerian Army Conducts Major Military Drills Near Moroccan Border in Tindouf

The Algerian army has organized military exercises on the Moroccan border, more precisely in Tindouf.
A military exercise called Al-Hazm 2021 ("Resolution" 2021) took place on Sunday and Monday in Tindouf under the supervision of General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP). This is a tactical live-fire missile exercise, including the latest version of the Russian Kornet anti-tank missile.
These exercises "are part of the evaluation of the first phase of the combat preparation program for the 2020-2021 fiscal year," according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense. They aim to "develop combat experience," said General Chanegriha.
He stressed that Algeria "deserves that its army be constantly up to the challenges it faces today, and that it remain eternally free, sovereign and tenacious in the face of the enemies of yesterday and today".
Is this a military exercise that serves as a warning, knowing that Algeria has felt threatened following the recent exchanges of fire between Morocco and the Polisario, its protégé? The question remains open.
