Morocco's Tallest Skyscraper: Mohammed VI Tower Set for 2023 Completion

The construction project of the Mohammed VI Tower, which is 250 meters high, is accelerating. The delivery date of the construction site is known.

The construction work on the Mohammed VI Tower, which began in 2018, is progressing without a hitch. This emblematic building of the development plan for the Bouregreg Valley near Rabat, designed by the architects Rafael de la Hoz and Hakim Benjelloun, has a high environmental quality with LEED Gold and HQE certifications, a particularly fine aesthetic and a condensed of innovations developed by the BESIX Engineering Department.

"It’s a completely innovative building. We have already built large towers in the Middle East, but of such a height with so many different functions, it’s a first," comments Sébastien Dusausoy, technical director of Besix, to La capitale. Erected on an area of 50,000 m2, the Mohammed VI Tower will have 55 floors. Regarding the technical aspect, "all the production (water tank, water supply, central, etc.) is in the basement. We convey hot and cold water in a very high column and a drainage duct and an electrical duct are also installed, adds Sébastien Dusausoy. We have opened the dome to be able to wash the windows and replace the photovoltaic panels."

The Mohammed VI Tower will house, among other things, a shopping center, a business center, hotels and residences. The total cost of the project is estimated at 500 million euros. The work should be completed by the end of 2023.
