Morocco Swelters as Temperatures Soar to 44°C in Southern Regions

According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), this morning it is expected to be 14 to 19 degrees in the mountains, 18 to 23 degrees in the North, the Center, the Oriental and the north of the southern provinces, and 22 to 28 degrees in the Southeast and the south of the Saharan provinces.

In the afternoon, 40 to 44 degrees are expected in the south of the Saharan provinces and the Southeast, 35 to 41 degrees in the Oriental, the Souss, the Saiss, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, Chiadma and the regions west of the Atlas, 29 to 35 degrees in the north of the southern provinces, Rhamna, the interior of Doukkala and Abda, and 25 to 31 degrees near the coasts and in the Atlas.
