Morocco Swelters as Heatwave Pushes Temperatures to 43°C in Multiple Provinces

A heatwave is expected until Sunday in several provinces of the Kingdom with temperatures ranging between 35 and 43°C, announced the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Thus, temperatures ranging between 38 and 43°C are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces of Es-Smara, Laayoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab, indicates the DGM in an "orange" level alert bulletin.
Hot weather (38-42°C) is forecast, until Sunday, in the provinces of Larache, Ouezzane, Taounate, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Kenitra, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Settat, Chichaoua, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Youssoufia and Taroudant, adds the same source.
The mercury should also display temperatures between 36 and 39°C, during the same period, in the provinces of Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Khemisset, Khouribga, Khenifra, Azilal, El Hajeb, El Haouz, Salé, Skhirate-Temara, Berrechid, Benslimane and Sidi Bennour.
The heatwave (35°-39°) will also persist, from Friday to Sunday, in the provinces of Nouaceur, Mediouna, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Sefrou, Ifrane, Chtouka Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tiznit, Agadir-Ida Outanane, Tan-Tan ,Sidi Ifni and Guelmim.
