Morocco Braces for Late-September Heat Wave with Temperatures up to 42°C

A heat wave will hit Morocco starting this Thursday, September 28, according to an alert just issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Thus, temperatures ranging from 38 to 42°C are expected, from Thursday, September 28 to Sunday, October 1 in Larache, Ouezzane, Taounate, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Kenitra, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Settat, Chichaoua, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Youssoufia and Taroudant, announces the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) in an orange level alert bulletin.
Temperatures ranging between 36 and 39°C are announced in Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Khemisset, Khouribga, Khenifra, Azilal, El Hajeb, Al Haouz, Salé, Skhirate-Temara, Berrechid, Benslimane and Sidi Bennour.
Similarly, temperatures of 35 to 39°C will be felt, from Friday, September 29 to Sunday, October 1 in the provinces of Nouaceur, Mediouna, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Sefrou, Ifrane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Tiznit, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni and Guelmim.
The provinces of Es-Semara, Laâyoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab will experience temperatures of 38 to 43°C, on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1.
