In the middle of Ramadan, a heat wave hits Morocco

The thermometer will soar in several provinces of Morocco, with temperatures reaching 41°C in some places, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), which has just issued an orange alert bulletin for the most affected regions.
From Saturday to Monday, the provinces of Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Tiznit, Taroudant, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Laayoune, Es-Semara, Tarfaya, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab will experience temperatures ranging from 36 to 41°C. Strong heat therefore in the middle of the Ramadan month.
The mercury will also rise in other provinces of Morocco, with temperatures reaching 38°C in the regions of Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Settat, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Marrakech, Essaouira, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Azilal, Al-Haouz, Rehamna, Safi and Youssoufia.
On Sunday, the inhabitants of Berrechid, Benslimane, Nouaceur, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Khemisset and Skhirate-Temara will also have to expect intense heat, with temperatures ranging between 32 and 35°C.
