Morocco Braces for Scorching Heatwave as Temperatures Soar to 47°C (116°F)

Morocco is facing a new wave of intense heat until Monday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), which has just issued an "Orange" level alert bulletin for several provinces of the Kingdom.
In the southeast of the country, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab and Aousserd will experience scorching temperatures, ranging between 43 and 47°C.
The provinces of Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, Jerada, Boulemane, Azilal, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Settat, Al Haouz, Youssoufia, Chichaoua and Rehamna will not be spared, with temperatures between 38 and 43°C.
Finally, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Essaouira, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Taroudant, Guelmim, Tan-Tan and Laayoune will also be affected by this heat wave.
