Morocco Suspends Cultural and Sports Activities Nationwide to Combat Coronavirus Spread

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has decided to suspend all courses and cultural, educational, sports and educational activities provided by its establishments or those under its supervision, until further notice.
This suspension, which takes effect on Saturday, March 14, 2020, is part of the preventive measures taken at the national level to fight the spread of the Coronavirus "Covid-19", the ministry said in a statement.
This suspension concerns cultural centers, reception and vacation centers, sports facilities and halls, libraries, reading rooms, theaters and cinemas.
Not to mention the cultural centers, reception and vacation centers, sports facilities and halls, libraries, reading rooms, theaters, cinemas, training establishments and higher education institutes under the departments of culture, youth, sports and communication.
This measure aims to protect the health of children, students, young people and staff of the departments under the ministry, in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
