Morocco Suffers Second Defeat in Handball World Cup, Falls to Portugal 33-20

After a defeat against Algeria, the Atlas Lions were crushed, on Saturday, January 16, by the Portuguese during the second day of the group stage of the Handball World Championship (Egypt 2021).
During the first 30 minutes of play, Morocco held its own against Portugal until finishing tied (14-14). Contrary to expectations, the men of Noureddine Bouhaddioui were not very effective during the second half. As a result, Morocco collapsed in front of Portugal (33-20).
On Thursday, the Moroccan national team was narrowly defeated (24-23) by Algeria. It will play against Iceland on January 18 for the third and final day of the group stage.
