Morocco Streamlines Business Registration with New Online Platform

The Moroccan government has taken an important step towards simplifying administrative procedures for entrepreneurs. On Thursday, March 30, the Council of Government approved a draft decree setting the terms and procedures for creating companies electronically.
The objective is to boost Morocco’s attractiveness and the competitiveness of domestic companies. This project is part of strengthening the investment climate and aims to streamline administrative procedures for project leaders.
Concretely, what does this change mean? From now on, all the formalities related to the creation of a company can be carried out online, via a dedicated electronic platform. This platform will be managed by the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
Simplification of procedures and time savings: creating a company will no longer be an uphill battle. Entrepreneurs will now be able to complete all the necessary steps with a few clicks, from their home or office.
A considerable saving of time and money for entrepreneurs, who will be able to focus on the development of their business. This measure should also help encourage entrepreneurship and create new jobs, the government hopes.
