The Supreme Council of Ulema has recently set the minimum amount of Zakat Al Fitr for the year 2024/1445.
The Council has set the amount of Zakat Al Fitr 2024 at 20 dirhams, the same amount as in 2022 and 2023. This amount was 15 dirhams in 2021 and 13 dirhams in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The institution specifies that any person who has the means can pay a higher amount. The Supreme Council of Ulema also recommends paying the Zakat after the Al Fajr prayer and before the Al Aid prayer. But it can also be paid two or three days before the celebration of Eid Al Fitr.
