Morocco Set to Reopen Borders and Resume International Flights on June 10

Morocco could reopen its skies on June 10, on which date it would certainly lift the suspension of air links with 54 countries including France, Spain and Algeria. For now, this date is maintained.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has not yet updated its latest Notam (message for air navigators) indicating that air traffic could resume on June 10. On Thursday, the Moroccan authorities extended the state of health emergency until July 10. Will the DGAC align itself with this extension? "We’ll know more on June 9 or 10. For now, the suspension of air traffic is in effect until June 10," says a source at the DGAC, adding that the state of health emergency does not preclude the reopening of borders as was the case in July 2020.
To date, Morocco has suspended flights with 54 countries in order to fight the new variants of the coronavirus. These countries are: Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Algeria, Egypt, Poland, Norway, Finland, Greece, Lebanon, Kuwait, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Cameroon, Croatia, Mozambique, Mali, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea-Conakry, Libya, France, Spain, Tunisia, Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and India.
On Friday, France classified Morocco and other countries in the orange zone. Access for tourists from the kingdom is thus subject to the following conditions: being vaccinated, presenting a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old or an antigen test less than 48 hours old.
