Morocco Sentences 11 ISIS-Linked Terrorists to Prison for Plot Against Nation

They are 11, these members of the terrorist cell "wilaya of the Islamic State in the Maghreb Al-Aqsa" who have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 10 to 14 years. This is the judgment rendered by the criminal chamber in charge of terrorism cases near the annex of the court of appeal in Salé.
Originally from Tangier, Berkane, Safi, Fez, El Hoceima, Sidi Slimane and Chefchaouen, the 11 defendants were prosecuted for the formation of a criminal gang, incitement to commit terrorist acts, glorification of terrorism and planning of destruction operations on the national territory.
It was on social networks that the services of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) discovered the activities of the members of this cell who were in the habit of glorifying Daesh, reports Al Akhbar. The investigations they conducted revealed that these terrorists had tried to go to the hotbeds of tension in Syria and Iraq to fight alongside Daesh.
Similarly, they intended to carry out a series of destruction operations on the national territory after receiving the weapons and ammunition introduced into Morocco by one of their accomplices, the same source specifies. To this end, they wanted to create a rear base and a starting point for extremists and fighters. The investigators also discovered that the defendants shared electronic files, the content of which deals with the manufacture of weapons and explosives. They had even moved on to the experimentation phase of some locally manufactured weapon samples in desert areas.
