Morocco Seizes 863 kg of Cannabis Resin in Major Drug Bust Near Tangier

New anti-drug operation in northern Morocco. This time, it resulted in the seizure of 863 kg of cannabis resin, as well as the arrest of an individual with multiple criminal records who would be involved in international drug trafficking.
The operation was carried out in a home located in the Zraraa district, under the rural commune of Ksar Sghir near Tangier. It resulted in "the seizure of the drug cargo, packaged in 27 packages destined for international trafficking," according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). On site, a 31-year-old individual was arrested for his alleged involvement in this case, reports the MAP.
In addition to the seized cargo, "the searches carried out in this home also made it possible to seize three vehicles, including one registered abroad, as well as an inflatable boat, equipped with an outboard motor," certainly used in international drug trafficking, according to the same source.
The suspect was taken into custody. The research and investigations are continuing, to determine all the ramifications of this criminal activity that could lead to the arrest of any accomplices in this case.
