Morocco Secures Quarter-Final Spot in African Handball Championship with Win Over Cameroon

Morocco won against Cameroon 35 to 28, in a first match counting for the group stage of the African Nations Handball Championship (CAN) taking place in Cairo. A victory synonymous with qualification for the quarter-finals of the competition.
The first half ended with a score of 18 to 14 in favor of the national team. Then, the Atlas Lions continued to lead the game during the second half, to win in the end with a 7-goal difference (35-28). Moroccan player Mehdi Alaoui was named man of the match.
Morocco is housed in group A, alongside Egypt and Cameroon. A group of three in which Morocco is currently in 2nd place with two points behind Egypt who has the advantage of goals, while Cameroon, who occupies the bottom of the standings, has been disqualified. This Wednesday, the Moroccan selection will face the host country to determine the group leader.
