Morocco Qualifies for 2023 Handball World Cup, Faces Croatia, USA, and Egypt in Group G

By finishing third at the 25th edition of the African Nations Handball Championship, the Moroccan national team is now aware of the opponents it will face in a few months at the World Cup.
Stopped in the semi-finals, the Lions console themselves with third place after beating Tunisia 28-24 in the classification match. Morocco will thus play in group G at the 2023 Handball World Cup, which will take place in Poland and Sweden. In the same group, there are Croatia, the United States and Egypt, the winner of the final played on Monday evening against Cape Verde. Tunisia finds itself in group H with Denmark, Belgium and Bahrain.
Even though it finished third, the Moroccan national team defeated Cameroon (35-28), then lost to Egypt (21-36), in the group stage. In the quarter-finals, Morocco overcame Guinea (28-24), before losing to Cape Verde in the semi-finals (19-23).
