Morocco Secures Futsal World Cup Spot with Dominant 5-0 Win Over Angola in African Cup Semifinals

The Atlas Lions largely dominated (5-0) Angola, on February 5, 2020, in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations indoor football (Futsal). This victory allows Morocco, the defending champion, to join Egypt in the final.
The Moroccans did not have much trouble before overcoming their challenger, Angola. The Atlas Lions showed tactics and skill to defeat the Angolans in the semi-finals.
They thus join Egypt in the final of the competition. The host and defending champion was able to get out of it, thanks to the performances of its players, Achraf Mohamed Saoud (2 goals), Soufiane Mesrar and Mohamed Jaouad.
By obtaining their ticket for the CAN final, Morocco has also qualified for the World Cup, scheduled from September 12 to October 4, 2020 in Lithuania. The Atlas Lions are qualified in the same way as the Egyptian Pharaohs, on Friday (9:00 PM). They will be accompanied to Lithuania by Egypt and the team that will be ranked 3rd in the Laâyoune tournament.
While the grand final will pit the two representatives of the Maghreb, Morocco and Egypt, the classification match will oppose, the same day at 5:30 PM, Angola and Libya, also beaten in the semi-finals by Egypt (2-5).
