Morocco Dominates Egypt 5-0 to Claim Second African Futsal Championship

The Atlas Lions defeated Egypt (5-0) this Friday in Laâyoune, thus winning their second African Nations Cup in futsal.
In a match controlled from start to finish, the protégés of Hicham Dguig had little difficulty in overcoming their Egyptian challenger.
Both already qualified for the 2020 Lithuania World Cup, Morocco and Egypt, Africa’s representatives, shone with the quality of their play. In the end, Morocco emerged victorious. Their five goals were scored by Soufiane Mesrar (2 goals), Abdelaziz Fati, Anas El Ayane and Saad Knya.
Already the defending champions, the Atlas Lions retain the trophy, after winning it in 2016 in South Africa against the same Egyptian Pharaohs.
