Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc and Israel’s El Al Expand Flight Partnership

Royal Air Maroc and the Israeli airline El Al are strengthening their cooperation. They have just signed a commercial code-sharing agreement.
The agreement signed on the sidelines of RAM’s inaugural flight between Casablanca and Tel Aviv will include direct flights between Morocco and Israel operated by the two companies, a joint press release said.
The new document provides for regular flights connecting El Al Tel Aviv and Marrakech at a rate of three connections per week, while RAM has opened for the first time its new direct flight from Casablanca to Tel Aviv at four frequencies and five flights per week, the note explains.
The two companies will offer additional options depending on schedules and the connection between Marrakech, Casablanca and Tel Aviv, and will connect their networks with smoother connections.
"For Israelis, this partnership will allow them to offer them an additional and diversified travel offer to destinations in Morocco and Africa. Israelis appreciate the tourist destination of Morocco and we are convinced that Moroccans will also be seduced by Israel as an attractive tourist destination," said Avigal Soreq, CEO of the Israeli company.
