Israeli Tourists Expected to Boost Morocco’s Passover Tourism Revival

Tourism from Israel will also contribute to the revival of Moroccan tourism. Many Israeli tourists are expected in Morocco, where they will celebrate Passover, one of the major pilgrimage festivals of Judaism.
Morocco can rely on tourism from Israel, particularly the arrival of thousands of Moroccan Jews living in the Hebrew state to participate in Passover, one of the major pilgrimage festivals of Judaism, which will be celebrated from mid-April. Several thousand Moroccan Jews living in Israel "would probably like to spend this holiday in Morocco," reports La Vie éco.
The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) wants to seize this opportunity. The Moroccan destination is already embarking on a tourist reconquest. Adel El Fakir, Managing Director of the ONMT, traveled to Israel on March 29 to participate in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) trade show in Tel Aviv. He managed to secure a partnership between his office and Israir, the second largest Israeli airline, for the launch of Tel Aviv-Marrakech flights as early as April 2022.
Adel El Fakir will also meet with El Al officials to discuss increasing flight frequencies. The ONMT expects the establishment of Tel Aviv-Casablanca and Tel Aviv-Marrakech routes.
