Morocco’s Romain Saïss Signs Two-Year Deal with Besiktas After Wolverhampton Exit

The captain of the Atlas Lions has officially joined his new club. Romain Saïss has signed a two-year contract with Besiktas Istanbul.
After spending six good years at Wolverhampton in England, the Moroccan international Romain Saïss is trying new experiences in another championship. With the Turkish club, the 32-year-old central defender will receive 1.8 million euros per year, for a two-year contract with an option for a third season, the club said in a statement.
The captain of the Atlas Lions (60 caps) is an experienced player, trained at AS Valence, who has passed through Clermont Foot, Le Havre AC and Angers SCO, before joining Wolverhampton in 2016. With the English club, he was crowned champion of the English second division during the 2017-2018 season, before gaining access to the Premier League.
